NRC Principal Scientist Jon Gumtow was invited to participate in organizing a local citizen group to protect and restore Parson Creek, a remnant cold water steam, located in east-central Wisconsin. Jon brings a wealth of experience working with other local watershed groups in Wisconsin to improve habitat and water quality. The goal of this project is to identify and implement habitat improvements within the watershed that improve water quality and sustain a healthy cold water community.
